Practical guidance for businesses and shippers

When arranging transport, three questions matter first: where is pickup, where is delivery, and when must the shipment arrive? A regional contact can simplify coordination, especially when pickup or destination is in the Ruhr area.

West Transport is based at Bahnhofstraße 86, 44575 Castrop-Rauxel and accepts transport requests for destinations throughout Germany. The fleet consists of five vans up to 3.5 t.

A complete request should include pickup address, delivery address, date, preferred time window, type of goods, number of packages or pallets and approximate total weight. For pallets, any special loading or unloading requirements should also be stated.

The more accurate the information, the more reliably it can be checked whether a 3.5 t van is suitable and available at the required time.

Each van is set up for up to four Euro pallets. This describes available pallet space, not automatically the permitted payload. Weight should therefore always be included in the request.

For recurring routes, a fixed tour may also be suitable. See Fixed Routes for details.
